It is yet another rainy day in Paris. You already been shopping in BHV mall yesterday, and visited the Louvre the day before that… now what?! Here are some of our favorite places to spend a rainy day in Paris in the coziest way possible.
Pompidou Centre
Did you know that the best view of Paris is actually from Pompidou Centre? when you arrive and go on the escalator the view of city will be on your right, including the Eiffel Tower and the Sacre Coeur. It doesn’t get any better then that really.
The structure of the building itself is a work of art completed in 1977. There are permanent collections of modern art in all fields, and also temporary exhibitions that change every few months. On the first weekend of every months the entrance is free of charge, along with other museums like the Louvre and more.
Shakespeare & Co
Worth waiting the line! Once you’re inside you will never want to get out. Truly, the most charming book shop. It might be a bit touristic but for a good reason. Upstairs you can sit and read and ponder and daydream and think and… you get the picture.
Merci
Another great place to get cozy is Merci shop and coffee shop that you can easily spend a few hours browsing beautiful objects in the shop and then have a coffee and read a book, or write your next novel, whatever!
I hope you enjoy your rainy day in Paris!
