Roger Vivier, the iconic French shoe brand, created a special event for Paris fashion week 2022, showcasing their collection, in a very 60s inspired way. The models were like mannequins, Reading books and minding their own business. I especially liked the white tennis looks and lace up shoes. The room was filled with lots of beautiful and colorful flowers.
I came with Nagisa and Ayako. We met there for the first time through a mutual friend. Nagisa has a beautiful lingerie brand, called Nagisa Paris, and Ayako is a screenplay writer. Both living in Paris.
There were also displays of craftsman making the shoes as a live performance, which was super interesting to watch, because it revealed the amount of hand work that goes in to every shoe.
The cherry on the cake was meeting the cast of Emily In Paris. Ayako showed admirable courage and came up to talk to them, in French ! I was super impressed but too shy to say anything, I preferred taking a picture to save this memory. It turned out they finished filming the last season the night before.
That was a great ending for Paris fashion week, more to come next time! But for now….
