A Walk In Paris

Sep. 21, 2023

Eiffel Tower, walk in Paris

Going for a walk in Paris is the best way to see it and get to know it. You can always just start walking and get lost in it and discover it with no plan or map. I love getting lost. But for those of you that prefer to know where you’re going here is our suggestion for a sightseeing tour done by foot. Let’s go!

Eiffel Tower, walk in Paris

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is located in the left bank, in the 7th Arrodissement, metro station Bir-Hakeim. If you never seen it before while visiting Paris, you most definitely should. As “corny” and touristy that it is, you cannot stay indifferent to it’s beauty when you actually stand close to it. It really is breathtaking. I was surprised by how moving it is to see it in person.

Arc de Triomphe, walk in Paris

Arc de Triomphe and Parc Monceau

From there you can start heading towards Arc de Triomphe, located on the the right bank of the seine, in the 8th Arrodissement, and walk on the famous Avenue des Champs-Elys’ees. I took the picture above on No Cars Day, that happens once a year. Not far from there is the beautiful Park Monceau. A great spot and time for a little picnic and a rest, to recharge your batteries for the second half of the walk tour.

Pyramide du Louvre and Porte des Lions

Another not to be missed spot is the Pyramide du Louvre and the beautiful arches Porte des Lions. A great spot for an outdoors photoshoot that screams Paris. It’s beautiful by day and even more so by night. It might be hard to avoid people in the picture, but anything is possible! Make sure to walk through Tuileries garden, you can find some privacy in a little bush maze and lie down on the green grass.

Cit’e

Afterwards, head to beautiful Cit’e neighborhood on the Seine. The Île de la Cité, is one of the city’s natural islands that lie on the Seine. Apart from its historic buildings such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, this is one the most pleasant areas in the city. Next to Cit’e metro station you can find a beautiful flower market in Place Louis Lapine. And the cherry on top is located in edge of the ile called Place Louis Aragon. It’s the sweetest little ally overlooking the Seine. This is my absolute favorite spot in the ile.

You can even take a boat tour for the perfect ending for this day. I’m sure you’ll find many beautiful places along the way, and hope you enjoyed a walk in Paris!
